Our Team

Built Inside the Problem.
Now Here to Solve Yours.

The team behind Losai had the same problems you have. Clinicians and data scientists who couldn’t get clear answers about their own anesthesiology utilization built it — inside a major health system, from the inside out. Then they validated it in live operations across every facility type: academic, community, specialty, and ambulatory. It’s now available to health systems everywhere.

The People Behind the Platform

Devin Soelberg, CEO, Losai Health

Devin Soelberg

CEO

Devin has spent nearly two decades on both the provider and vendor sides of healthcare, including as a founding principal at Redox, where he served as Chief Customer Officer and VP of Strategic Partnership and Business Development. Prior to that, he spent six years at Epic and ran operations for a 50-clinic specialty provider practice. In addition to leading Losai Health, he is also an Operating Partner at Summit Venture Studio. He lives in Seattle with his wife, four teenagers, and a rescue Staffordshire terrier named Winnie.

Padma Gulur, MD - Clinical Champion, Losai Health

Padma Gulur, MD

Clinical Champion

Dr. Gulur is one of the country’s most recognized leaders in perioperative medicine — a professor of both Anesthesiology and Population Health Sciences, a 2024 New England Journal of Medicine contributor, and incoming Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. As Executive Vice Chair of Duke Anesthesiology, she also oversaw one of the nation’s most complex perioperative departments. When she couldn’t find a tool that connected anesthesiology staffing hours to actual OR case demand, she helped create one. That work became the foundation of Losai and earned her the 2023 MGMA Harwick Innovation Award.

Clark Downum - CTO, Losai Health

Clark Downum

CTO

Clark spent eight years at Redox across engineering and technology leadership roles, including CTO, helping build a platform that now handles more than 1.5 billion healthcare transactions per month. Before Redox, he spent seven years at Epic including as a developer in web services and security architecture. He brings a deep foundation of healthcare infrastructure and compliance to Losai. He holds a DPhil in Physics from Oxford.

Losai Health is an AI-powered anesthesiology workforce intelligence platform. It is based on inventions developed at Duke University. The technology was licensed through Duke’s Office of Translation & Commercialization and is now commercialized in partnership with Summit Venture Studio (SVS).
